How long has it been since the Kindle was first released? Apparently it has been around only since 2007, and now obviously, there are other versions (including iPad) that are taking a piece of their pie. So wait a minute… what was the original purpose? Wasn’t it to sell cheaper books to be distributed more quickly around the world in a legal way?
Now it appears that buying the good old physical version of a book is cheaper (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/05/business/media/05follett.html?_r=1&th&emc=th) for some cases. So where’s the added value now? Perhaps they are starting to shift your perception of the kindle (and all digital books for that matter) to something you should absolutely have, like and iPod, a laptop, and so on…
May be, having the good old book isn’t old fashion, but then again, what will come of our perception? Time will tell or will Amazon? Stay tuned
