You might have heard a million times over how everything is exponential these days. Media, growth, sharing, technology, you name it, it’s off the chart. One of the many concepts that is growing that fast is the DINK Concept. It stands for Double Income No Kids, but of course if you are a marketer by heart, you already knew that.
DINK’s are everywhere now. From everyday life, to a remarkably lowering Western Population (birth rates are getting lower and lower) even TV series have had to adapt to this change in lifestyles. For example, the “Friends” like series of the decade– “How I Met Your Mother” features Robin, a woman who is career focused and has no interest in having children. Moreover in “Grey’s Anatomy”, Dr. Yang just discussing her no-desire-for-kids with her on-screen husband.
More and more, products, services and even Media are adapting to this concept. Curiously enough however, women expressing more interest in a DINK association is more present than then male counterpart. Fashion labels, real estate, jobs and zillion of other concepts are being adapted to this lifestyle. It is international brands that have their eyes set on these successful couples.
