So Thanksgiving weekend just ended. Our bellies are still a little bit full (making room for that extra Holiday weight), Black Friday went by with a few kicks and overpasses in the making and today: Cyber Monday!
Since when does that happen to exist? I had actually heard of it but I didn’t recall exactly when did we extend Holiday-online-shopping in such as scale. So, as always, I did a little research. According to this webpage –> http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2009/11/cyber-monday-a-brief-history.html it all dawned on us back in 2005.
Cyber Monday is actually an official semi-Holiday term. So being that online shopping is several times faster than physical one (let’s not forget all the queues, waiting time, etc) there are more than 4million users per minute on a e-shopping spree.
Could you imagine the total revenue compared to that of Black Friday? I most certainly think stores will be empty today and people stuck to their computer screens with credit cards in hand. Just make sure you order the right Christmas gift.
